Kent Past DVD
This DVD shows Kent going back 80 years. During the 1920's steam trains would bring holidaymakers to Margate and cockneys would head to the countryside to pick hops during the summer months.
During the 1960's mechanism had reached the farms, eliminating the need for the cockney invasion, and holidaymakers were now discovering foreign travel.
This DVD will allow you to witness the changes over half a century in Kent and witness rare scenes, including:
- Holidays at Margate, Ramsgate and Folkestone
- The miners' strike of 1960
- Chatham Dockyards and fishing crews at Whitstable
- Winston Churchill visiting Dover
Running Time: 60 minutes
