What is WEEE?
From July 2007, the UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations obliges all producers of electrical equipment to pay for recycling of household electrical goods. Previously this bill was met by your local councils, or items were not recycled at all and just sent to the landfill sites.
These regulations also require that all UK electrical goods retailers implement a recycling policy to encourage consumers in recycling electronic equipment. In accordance with the WEEE.
So what does this mean to you.
