Description
Indulge your inner Sci Fi geek with this R2-D2 wireless webcam. R2 is fully motorised, so you can use the lightsaber remote control to direct him! You can also control R2's sound effects (11 original sounds from the saga played at random) from the the remote control. The lightsaber (Anakin Skywalker's) can be used as a remote control and a Skype USB phone - just rotate the handle and the dial/control pad will be visible. Each R2-D2 has its own Skype account, and with the supplied computer program, it's possible to connect to your R2 webcam from a second computer, wherever in the universe you happen to be! That means you can even remotely control R2, save photos and complete movies of the webcam's footage while you're on holiday! R2 can be moved forward, backwards, turn left and right and can alter the webcam's viewing angle, all using the wireless FM connection. The lightsaber stand has USB connections and co-ordinates the wireless link between R2 and your computer. When the stand is connected to your PC, the 'Star Wars' logo lights up. The software supplied with your webcam enables you to record photographs and videos from the R2 camera, and overlay them with graphics of an X-Wing or the Milennium Falcon cockpit! Underneath eacj of R2's three feet are surface sensors to detect differences in surface level and surface endings. When these sensors are triggered, R2 stops and oplays an alarm sound - just in case you thought he was a kamikazee robot! So you know when the battery is running low, the normally blue power light will turn red.
