All orders will be despatched by insured delivery the insurance value is £500.00 a parcel, See Royal Mail. If you order more than one PS3 they will be sent separately for security and insurance purposes and you will be charged twice for delivery.
You will need to sign for your Playstation on delivery. If you will not be home on the delivery day please provide us with an alternate delivery address when you place your order. If the courier is not able to deliver after two attempts your order will be returned to us and you will have to pay an additional delivery charge for your PS3 to be resent.
High-definition visuals and TrueHD sound
If you are looking for a full on home entertainment system then the PS3 will not meet your needs! But, with its cutting edge 7.1 Dolby TrueHD surround sound system and its ability to play Blu-ray films with its next generation Blu-ray drive (all the way up to 1080p on a full HD TV) and the fact that at the time of launch on the 23rd March 2007 it will be half the price of any other Blu-ray system then to me its worth every penny. The Playstation 3 is a great home entertainment package for only £425.00+ as for your money you are getting a top of the range gaming console combined with a full Blu-ray movie player.
Storage and plug-in
The PS3 comes with a 60GB (removable/upgradeable) hard drive, you also use BD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-ROM, Super Audio CD, Memory Stick / SD / Compact Flash slots and 4x USB2.0 ports . So you can still play all your old DVD's but the PS3 cannot upscale DVD's yet. When you get back of holiday you will be able to download all your holiday snaps onto the Playstation hard drive and via the Ethernet connection you will be able to send them wherever you want.
How does the PS3 power all the above? Well it has a Next generation 3.2 GHz Cell Broadband Engine processor with 1 PPE and 7 SPEs and weighs in at a whopping 5Kg
PS3 games and online community
The playstation 3 will have its own online network just like the Xbox 360 so you will be able to play with friends and enemies online and as all good gamers know there is nothing like a good network multi player game.
You will also be able to use motion sensing wireless Bluetooth controller, USB keyboards and mice, if like me you play a lot of PC games then being able to plug in a keyboard is great!.
The PS3 will be backwards compatible with PlayStation 1 and 2 games, but only the top 1,000 games. You can also use the virtual memory card capabilities to save your old PS1/PS2 games.

"The PS3 is here at last. But it's worth the wait. The PS3 has features that instantly make the Wii and Xbox 360 look old and decrepit. It has a wireless controller which utilises sixaxis, similar to the Wii controller, it can output in 1080p the highest of all HD resolutions and also features a Blu-Ray Player. Now this is where the PS3 turns from a console into an almost must buy piece of AV equipment. Sony actually loses money on the PS3 as the Blu-Ray player it contains uses the very latest technology. It is rumoured that the PS3 Blu-Ray player is better than the stand-alone Blu-Ray player which retails at nearly double the PS3 price. This may seem slightly crazy but the PS3 has been designed to last 10 years and therefore this really is a fantastic buy."
